2008.4 240cm Wood, edgeless, very little curve at tip, very slight sidecut, decorative engraving on top surface. Mortise through ski for toe strap, one leather toe strap (laced), leather boot plates (deteriorating). 1910s or earlier?
2008.5 197cm Wood, ridgetop, edgeless, "nipple" tip. Norwegian toe irons (screw mounted), remnants of leather heel strap. Circa late 1920s or early 1930s. Donated by Harriet Taylor Fredt (sp?).
2008.6 203cm Wood (hickory), Dartmouth Cooperative Society label, ridgetop, edgeless, heavily used. Toe irons (possibly "Hanover" brand), binding designed for heel straps but none present. Circa 1930s.
2008.7 190cm Wood, ridgetop, edgeless. Dovre toe irons, leather toe straps, binding designed for heel straps but none present. Circa 1930s.
2008.8 228cm Wood, edgeless, "nipple" tip, little or no sidecut, single groove, mortise through ski for toe strap, apparently unfinished and unused. None. Like planks. Jumping skis?
2008.9 190cm Wood, Ranger brand, ridgetop, edgeless, "nipple" tip, little used. Kandahar front-throw cable binding, leather toe straps. Circa late 1930s.
2008.10 217cm Wood, Northland brand, screwed-on edges, painted-on base (red). Northland front-throw cable bindings. Circa 1940s. Classic long alpine skis.
2008.11 165cm Wood (maple), edgeless, painted-on base. Suwe ("soo-vay") brand front-throw cable bindings. 1940s or 1950s, kid's skis.
2008.12 185cm Wood (hickory), screwed-on edges, painted-on base (black). Anderson-Thompson "Zephyr" front-throw cable binding, one leather toe strap. 1940s or 1950s.
2008.13 180cm Metal, Head Standard, steel edges, painted-on base. Northland front-throw cable binding, SkiFree releasable toe piece, leather safety straps with boot lace clips. 1950s.
2009.6 195cm Wood, edgeless, "nipple" tip, old mortise through ski is filled with wood plug, "A.M.G." is painted on forebody. Anderson-Thompson side-throw bindings with leather heel straps intact. 1930s. Skis are equipped with canvas climbing socks, marked "6ft, 3in" and "A. Goodfellow". Skis owned by Anne Margaret ("Nancy") Goodfellow. Donated by son Bill Walker.

2008.19 100cm Bamboo, leather strap, wooden ring, leather webbing. Single pole (kid's pole).
2008.20 133cm Metal, O-U Sports brand, rubber grip, leather strap, wooden ring (5-in diameter), leather webbing. Pair, circa 1950s?
2009.7 132cm Bamboo, leather strap, wooden ring (7-in diameter), leather webbing. Each pole has 5-inch band of orange paint near handle. Poles owned by Anne Margaret ("Nancy") Goodfellow. Donated by son Bill Walker. Pair, 1930s.
2013.1 155cm Bamboo, leather strap, wooden ring (8-in diameter), leather webbing. One pole has black tape wrapped around it every few inches. Poles owned by Paul Wiseman, former Mountaineers President and History Committee member. Pair, 1940s.

2008.22 Alpenstock 160cm Wood, round shaft, long section of wrapped tape (at 2/3 height), leather strap, short squarish spike. Owned by Albert and Elizabeth Carlson of Coulee Dam, WA (longtime Mountaineer members). Donated by Albert's niece Suzy Stockton.
2008.23 Alpenstock 159cm Wood, octagonal shaft, fragile leather strap, tiny "0032" painted on spike. -
2008.24 Alpenstock 152cm Wood, octagonal shaft, thin leather strap, tape wrapped around shaft in three places. -
2008.25 Ice axe 109cm Wood shaft, Francois Simond brand (Chamonix), sold by Gleize Sports (Chamonix), "H" inscribed on shaft near head, tape wrapped near ferrule. -
2008.26 Ice axe 104cm Wood shaft, made in France, sold by Arthur Beale (London). "Harry Myers" engraved on pick. Probably owned by Harry Myers.
2008.27 Ice axe 90cm Wood shaft, Fritsch brand (Zurich), "VJ" inscribed in shaft near head, tape around shaft near ferrule, glide ring with leather strap. Circa 1950s, donated by Victor Josendal.
2008.28 Ice axe 85cm Wood shaft, Fritsch brand (Zurich), driver's license number engraved on ferrule ("JO-SE-NV-ACOS??"), glide ring with canvas strap. Circa 1950s, donated by Victor Josendal.
2010.1 Ice axe 82cm Wood shaft, leather guard on head, brand appears to be Charlet-Moser (partially obscured by leather guard). Glide ring with canvas strap. Faint writing (possibly a name) on left side of shaft. Owned by Diane Altwein and donated by a friend.
2010.2 Ice axe 90cm Wood shaft, Fritsch brand (Zurich), "AM" inscribed on shaft, glide ring with leather strap, spike has diamond cross-section. Owned by Harvey E. Moore (wife Ann), donated by nephew Chris Jacobsen. (Moore is said to have been a Mountaineers member from around 1909-40.)
2010.3 Ice axe 95cm Wood shaft, head is stamped "Prima-Garantie, F. Ralling, Hemmerwerk, Fulpmes." Glide ring with leather strap. On left side of shaft is faint writing: "Harvey E. Moore, Mountaineers Club, Seattle." Owned by Harvey E. Moore, donated by nephew Chris Jacobsen. (Moore is said to have been a Mountaineers member from around 1909-40.)
