The Mountaineers Archives - Climate Log Home
This is a manually updated log of climate conditions in the Mountaineers Archives. Conditions are measured by a wall-mounted instrument just left of the shelf where the Mountaineer Bulletins are stored.

The optimal environment for papers and photos is 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit, 45-50% relative humidity. An acceptable environment is 69-71 degrees Fahrenheit, 51-55% relative humidity. (For preservation guidelines click here.)

To update this log, record the date, time and min, max and current readings of the "outside" temperature and humidity displays. (The "inside" temperature is measured by a different device than the humidity, so we don't use it. Press the MIN/MAX button to cycle between min, max, and current readings.) After recording the data, reset the min/max display by holding the MIN/MAX button for two seconds.
