Ray and Steve know they'll be on receiving end of one of MY gloat calls
soon enough. You see, we trained together. You may not have realized
that there is a rating system for this sort of thing:
Gloat-1
Beginner
Gloats at the bottom of the hill.
Gloat-2
Novice
Gloats over the phone to at least five different pilots.
Gloat-3
Intermediate
Gloats in the newsletter and at club meetings.
Minimum 25 hours logged gloat-time.
Gloat-4
Advanced
Completes advanced gloating maneuvers, including
the use of the Internet and the national magazines.
Minimum 75 hours logged gloat-time, with at least 25
hours in the presence of doubting pilots.
Gloat-5
Master
Based upon a complicated point system, which I leave
to your imagination. Points are awarded for gloating
on the TV news, in the local papers, public slide
shows, and so on. Special points for current and
former newsletter editors...
