Fred Beckey - Cascade Alpine Guide, Volume 3
In these notes, I include only items that I haven't found in other sources.

p. 28: The Mt Baker introduction notes that on July 22, 1939, a college group was stuck by an avalanche on the upper Deming Glacier in warm conditions following snow and rain. The avalanche took six lives.

p. 30: A ski traverse of Mt Baker from Coleman Glacier to the summit, then descending via The Cockscomb to Epley Portal, was made by Andy Hennig, Erick Larson and Dwight Watson on May 13, 1939.

p. 59: The author writes that the ski ascent of Ruth Mtn by Calder Bressler and Ray Clough occurred in the late 1930s.

p. 65: The description of White Salmon Glacier on Mt Shuksan states that the route has been done on skis, but includes no details.

p. 133: The Silver Lake Glacier (north face) of Mt Spickard was not climbed until May 17, 1959 (ref BCM, June 1959), so the first skiing on the peak must have been after that.

p. 288: The first winter ascent of Silver Star Mtn was made by Fred Beckey and Michael Borghoff in March 1965.
