Bob and Ira Spring - Camera Adventuring on Mount Rainier
Chapter 6 - Wintertime
This chapter contains several fine photographs from the Paradise area in winter, including a man skiing off the roof of the Paradise Inn, a crowded rope tow slope, a skier descending trackless powder below Alta Vista, and two women pausing near a cornice above Tipsoo Lake with Mt Rainier in the background. Most interesting for this project is a photo of two roped skiers descending the Emmons Glacier below the north face of Little Tahoma Peak. This photo matches a scene in "Skiing Above the Clouds," indicating that this film was made in 1955 or earlier.
