This 16mm film is silent, in color, with a running time around 5 minutes. The film shows Ralph Eskenazi exploring the head of the South Cascade Glacier on foot, July 24, 1939. There are fine views of Dome Peak and the Chickamin Glacier, Spire Point, Sentinel Peak, Mt Formidable and other peaks of the Ptarmigan Traverse.
