Bob and Ira Spring - Paradise Ice Caves Tour Home
This 16mm film is in color, silent, with a running time around 8 minutes. It was probably made in the late 1950s.
This film depicts a guided tour of the Paradise Ice Caves. The tour begins at the Paradise guide house and the party is shown hiking meadow trails to the Paradise Glacier. They cross a snowfield to the cave entrance. There are beautiful scenes photographed inside the caves by torchlight. After visiting the caves, the party enjoys coasting (seated glissading in groups) on nearby snowfields. The film has a scratch (center-left) for most of its length, but it's still fun to watch.
