Scholastic, Apr 9, 1938, p. 29 - Spencer, Ralph A., "Mt Rainier--Skier's Paradise"

The author is editor of the Lincoln High School newspaper in Tacoma. He writes: "Skiing is like the measles. I was exposed about three years ago to the most glorious winter sport there is. The craze spread among my friends, just as it is still spreading over the country..." The author draws a nice picture of Paradise skiing at the time, including a description of Devil's Dip, "waterloo of many a self-inflated skier."
